2023 Music Festival Lineup

Rolling Loud California (March 3-5, 2023)

The largest hip-hop festival in the world kicks off the 2023 season with its California location in Inglewood. According to Ticketmaster, Rolling Loud 2022 was able to garner over 250,000 attendees for its location in Queens, New York, making it the largest attendance of the festival post-covid. This year, Rolling Loud intends to bring in the same turnout, if not more. It’ll be hard for the rap festival to compete with last year’s lineup, having brought out A$AP Rocky, Future, Kendrick Lamar, and the queen of rap Nicki Minaj, as headliners across their many US locations. Luckily, Inglewood will be able to see Future as he is set to headline on Sunday. Other headliners for Inglewood are Playboi Carti for Friday and Travis Scott for Saturday. The Astroworld artist is set to headline many Rolling Loud locations such as Thailand, Rotterdam, and Portugal, making his return to the stage after the Astroworld Festival tragedy in 2021. Although fans of female rap won’t be able to see the likes of Nicki Minaj, the female rap lineup promises a good time with acts such as Saweetie, City Girls, Bia, Coi Leray, Tay Money, Kamaiyah, and Rubi Rose. Other popular acts to take the Rolling Loud stages are Kodak Black, Tyga, Soulja Boy, Lil Baby, 2 Chainz, Lil Uzi Vert, and Lil Wayne.

Additionally, Rolling Loud Thailand, will be held in mid-April and coincide with Coachella’s first weekend. With Cardi B, Chris Brown, and Travis Scott as headliners and joined by Asian hip-hop acts like Bibi, Jessi, pH-1, Jay Park, Sik-k, and Thaitanium, Rolling Loud expands their brand as the global leader of hip-hop festivals.

Kicking off the festival season for electronic dance music, Ultra Miami 2023 brings in a longtime friend and collaborator of the festival, Swedish House Mafia, with an exclusive headlining performance. Other big names bringing the rave to the Miami beach are Armin van Buuren, Afrojack, David Guetta, Marshmello, Martin Garrix, Tiësto, and Zedd.

Coachella (April 14-16 & April 21-23)

Arguably the biggest music festival in the United States, Coachella lives up to its status as a global phenomenon and pop-culture event. With the reveal of Bad Bunny, BLACKPINK, and Frank Ocean as their headliners, the influencer-heaven presents its first Latin headliner, first Asian headliner, and the first time the 24-year-old festival has had an all-non-white set of headliners. Coachella had an attendance of 750,000 guests over their six-day duration in 2022 with Harry Styles, Billie Eilish, and Swedish House Mafia with The Weeknd. Coachella aims to have the same attendance in the California desert in Indio as the first weekend has already sold out.

An excerpt from the love letter: The Hollywood Insider’s CEO/editor-in-chief Pritan Ambroase affirms, We have the space and time for all your stories, no matter who/what/where you are. Media/Cinema/TV have a responsibility to better the world and The Hollywood Insider will continue to do so. Talent, diversity and authenticity matter in Cinema/TV, media and storytelling. In fact, I reckon that we should announce “talent-diversity-authenticity-storytelling-Cinema-Oscars-Academy-Awards” as synonyms of each other. We show respect to talent and stories regardless of their skin color, race, gender, sexuality, religion, nationality, etc., thus allowing authenticity into this system just by something as simple as accepting and showing respect to the human species’ factual diversity. We become greater just by respecting and appreciating talent in all its shapes, sizes, and forms. Award winners, which includes nominees, must be chosen on the greatness of their talent ALONE.

I am sure I am speaking for a multitude of Cinema lovers all over the world when I speak of the following sentiments that this medium of art has blessed me with. Cinema taught me about our world, at times in English and at times through the beautiful one-inch bar of subtitles. I learned from the stories in the global movies that we are all alike across all borders. Remember that one of the best symbols of many great civilizations and their prosperity has been the art they have left behind. This art can be in the form of paintings, sculptures, architecture, writings, inventions, etc. For our modern society, Cinema happens to be one of them. Cinema is more than just a form of entertainment, it is an integral part of society. I love the world uniting, be it for Cinema, TV, media, art, fashion, sport, etc. Please keep this going full speed.
