As mentioned before, Lisa and her husband Ken, long-time business partners, are the owners of a variety of successful restaurants and bars throughout the United States, along with many other ventures they have taken on over the years. Lisa’s activist work has shined throughout her time on the television and behind the scenes as she has become an advocate for animal rights and the LGBTQ+ community. Her activist work combined with her charming on-screen personality has made her the well-known successful woman that she is today. There is no doubt that her reign as the reality television queen will be upheld with the new ventures that she continues to take on.
Lisa Vanderpump Takes on Reality Television
Reality television was not Lisa’s first time on the big screen. Over the years, Lisa Vanderpump has produced and starred in a variety of television shows and movies. She can even be seen alongside Andy Cohen in Lady Gaga’s ‘G.U.Y.’ music video from 2014. For example, throughout the 1970s, she starred in television series such as ‘Katy,’ ‘Kids,’ and ‘John Halifax, Gentleman.’ In the 1980s, fans and viewers could see Lisa in television series such as ‘Kelly Monteith,’ ‘Something in Disguise,’ and ‘Sunday Night Thriller.’ She continued to find herself in various roles until we finally saw her gracing the Real Housewives franchise in 2009. Lisa Vanderpump quickly became a staple for the reality television series, which explains the spin-offs that accompanied her as she continued to win people over with her personality.

Her time on ‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ would prove to be her longest role on television as she starred as a housewife and a recurring guest. Finally, in 2019, she decided to part ways from the show, continuing to focus on her separate ventures and activist work. If you are a major fan of the Real Housewives franchise, then you probably know it is pretty common to see housewives come and go as the series continues to live on. Though it was saddening to see Lisa Vanderpump walk away from the series, there is no doubt we continued to see her throughout the various other things she maintains and keeps up. If you’re a major fan, you probably also know there will never be another Lisa Vanderpump in the Real Housewives franchise because she has brought such a unique and vibrant story and personality.
Lisa Vanderpump’s Activist Work
Lisa Vanderpump’s activist work has become a large part of her life, and she continues to make strides in the areas she focuses on. Fans notably saw Lisa’s passion for animals throughout her time on the big screen and, of course, through her social media platforms. Lisa and Ken launched their non-profit, The Vanderpump Dog Foundation, in 2016, which was created to help put an end to international and domestic animal abuse. The foundation also launched its first physical rescue center in 2017, which has helped over 2000 rescue dogs find their forever homes. Lisa has also taken a public stand against the Yulin Dog Festival in a variety of ways, one of those being the creation of a documentary related to the festival called ‘The Road To Yulin And Beyond.’

Lisa Vanderpump has also become a notable spokesperson and activist for the LGBTQ+ community. She has worked with a variety of organizations over the year, such as GLAAD, Desert AIDS Project, The Trevor Project, and the ‘L.A. Gay and Lesbian Center.’ Her extensive activist work has led to a variety of activist-related recognition and awards over the years. Most importantly, Lisa Vanderpump has genuinely taken advantage of the influential platform she holds as a celebrity and overall well-known person, which sometimes is not always the case when it comes to other well-known people. Lisa Vanderpump’s activist work and desire to help those in need have earned her the title of an impactful activist, and I can’t wait to see what is to come for her.
Lisa Vanderpump’s Reign as Reality TV Queen
Though we can’t see Lisa on the ‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ anymore, I’m sure this will not be the last time that we see her on reality television. I am curious to see what is to come next, and I wouldn’t be surprised if we were to see a ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ type of show following Lisa’s family and ventures in the future. Her family also became a staple on the ‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,’ so it would only make sense that we eventually see the family take on their own show. To me, no matter what, Lisa Vanderpump will always hold her own crown as the reality television queen.
