Hotel Montalembert is a five-star hotel located in the heart of Paris, France. Opening in 1926, the hotel was built for a more creative and ambitious crowd: it’s a boutique hotel, meaning it’s traditionally designed to be quieter, literature-inspired, personal, and chic in nature. They usually attract creative types such as fashion pros, art connoisseurs, and writers for this reason, and have also been known to attract politicians and celebrities as well. Compared to a non-boutique five-star hotel, they are smaller and lower-maintenance. As Anne Jousse, the CEO of B Signature Hotels and Resorts, succinctly puts it, “This hotel is renowned in its neighborhood. It is the hotel of writers and artists. We wanted to keep this spirit.”
The Montalembert has survived war, and basked in the glory of Saint-Germain celebrations of the 1950s – stories enough to fill countless books.

And to add to its historical features, it also comes with incredibly lavish perks. It has a multitude of facilities to offer, including an indoor spa, beautiful views of the Eiffel Tower, flowered balconies, a high-quality bar and restaurant, et cetera. The decoration of each room is also distinctly Parisian, complete with orange and yellow leather, silk curtains, various uses of wood, and furniture placement that purposely feels cozy and like one is coming home after a long day. Of course, one major thing of note that differentiates from other luxury hotels is its focus on creative pursuits, specifically writing. The Montalembert is an exquisite gem that is borne out of the uniting of brilliant minds such as Pascal Allaman (architect-decorator) who oversaw the entire establishment and Geraldine Prieur, interior designer, who was entrusted with the decoration of the lobby and the design of the carpets.
The lounge areas are designated spaces for people to work on their passion projects. One place, in particular, dubbed the “Fireplace Living Room,” is very much renowned by writers for its quiet atmosphere (created by its library space) and its warmth (provided by its colorful and inviting fireplace). Perhaps the most alluring thing about this establishment – the suites. These suites have many perks that improve and enrich the experience of a person’s stay, including their design, the amenities they provide, and the facilities they allow a hotel guest to access once they settle in.

Design
There are three different styles of suites: Junior Suites, Regular Suites, and the Montalembert Suites. As listed on the website, each style of suite is designed with all the same materials (ebony wood, Carrara marble, Bisazza mosaic, and silk curtains). The curtains are designed by the ambitious Pierre Frey and Hermés, and the suites all come with a bottle of champagne.
However, after this point, each increasing level of suite has added amenities. For instance, the middle level, the Regular Suite, covers a larger area (35 by 40 square meters as opposed to 30 square meters). The Regular Suite also has a king-sized bed as well. Another major difference is between the Montalembert Suite and the other two lesser suites. Another bit of information to consider is that all the suite sizes are larger than the sizes of the regular room, with Deluxe Rooms being 22 square meters and Superior Rooms being 15 by 18 square meters.

Hotel Montalembert – The Suites
The two-topmost floors, seventh and eighth, are home to the SUITES. Not only is there a more obvious step up from the previous two (the rooms are larger, clocking in at 40 square meters), but this style of suite also has height to its advantage. On the balcony of the Montalembert suite, guests can see all of the Left Bank and even the Eiffel Tower. Paris does balconies best – try 4 balconies on both sides of the hotel.
Adding to the above, flowered balcony, freestanding bathtubs to admire the rooftops of Paris from the bath itself. Suite 51 and Suite 82, the two jewels on the crown of the Montalembert carry the signature of Anne Jousse with light oak for the herringbone parquet on the floors, Utrecht armchair by Garrit Reitveld edited by Cassina as furniture, paintings by Jean-Pierre Bourquin on the walls – among many such delights.
Facilities
There are some facilities that, while may have added qualifications to gain access to, having a suite wouldn’t bar a guest from said access. A few minutes away, there is a spa and fitness room at Le Bel Ami, another hotel that is close to Hotel Montalembert. Despite being at a different location, athletes staying at the Montalembert are allowed to use it as often as they want. Hotel Montalembert will even arrange appointments for massages and other on-site treatments. Having a suite would be more ideal than a room in this situation, since a guest may want to store personal equipment at their place in the Montalembert.

Luckily, there are certain facilities that suites or non-suites can access. For example, there is a comprehensive indoor spa called the Maisen Flamel that guests staying at the hotel are able to fully access. This spa is a quick walk away from the Montalembert, is inspired by legendary alchemist Nicholas Flamel, and includes additional products sold on location such as hair and salon treatments, skincare treatment that is performed in three phases, candles, and perfumes. Once again, space is crucial to have when purchasing any items, salon products or otherwise, which suites provide more of compared to rooms. When trying these products, guests will also have more natural light to view them in if they’re high up in the Montalembert Suite.

Amenities
The extent of free resources guests are entitled to when entering a suite is enormous. Some of them are truly unique and are things that the rooms can’t offer. Things such as a baby cot for parents, a separate shower and bathtub, a shoe shine machine and kit upon request, and an iron and ironing board upon request are crucial to the experience at the hotel.
Suites definitely have more to offer in this department than the regular rooms. One obvious example is the bathtub and shower. Every level of suite has each of them included, and as two separate parts of the bathroom. On the other hand, the non-suite rooms have either one or the other. A guest would have to ask to choose which one they’d prefer for their stay. Not only is this more convenient, it is also better for trying products from facilities such as Maisen Flamel.
Overall, there are plenty of different amenities and art influences at the Hotel Montalembert. With a suite, it’s easier to enjoy them all. The suites provide more space, more features, and better views. In turn, these provide more ways to enjoy the surrounding area and closeby places that the hotel advertises as part of its experience.
When in Paris, Hotel Montalembert is the perfect place to live out your Parisian dreams in the lap of luxury.

An excerpt from the love letter: The Hollywood Insider’s CEO/editor-in-chief Pritan Ambroase affirms, “We have the space and time for all your stories, no matter who/what/where you are. Media/Cinema/TV have a responsibility to better the world and The Hollywood Insider will continue to do so. Talent, diversity and authenticity matter in Cinema/TV, media and storytelling. In fact, I reckon that we should announce “talent-diversity-authenticity-storytelling-Cinema-Oscars-Academy-Awards” as synonyms of each other. We show respect to talent and stories regardless of their skin color, race, gender, sexuality, religion, nationality, etc., thus allowing authenticity into this system just by something as simple as accepting and showing respect to the human species’ factual diversity. We become greater just by respecting and appreciating talent in all its shapes, sizes, and forms. Award winners, which includes nominees, must be chosen on the greatness of their talent ALONE.
I am sure I am speaking for a multitude of Cinema lovers all over the world when I speak of the following sentiments that this medium of art has blessed me with. Cinema taught me about our world, at times in English and at times through the beautiful one-inch bar of subtitles. I learned from the stories in the global movies that we are all alike across all borders. Remember that one of the best symbols of many great civilizations and their prosperity has been the art they have left behind. This art can be in the form of paintings, sculptures, architecture, writings, inventions, etc. For our modern society, Cinema happens to be one of them. Cinema is more than just a form of entertainment, it is an integral part of society. I love the world uniting, be it for Cinema, TV, media, art, fashion, sport, etc. Please keep this going full speed.”
