The Hollywood Insider Four Seasons Florence Restaurants Review

The Four Seasons is a world-renowned hotel collection that promises only the best for its guests. The first location opened up in 1961 in a town in Toronto with an innovative new approach to the luxury hotel model. Architect Isadore Sharp wanted his new hotel to approach luxury travel with a guest-centric worldview. He would be entirely focused on what the guest would experience, and everything else about the hotel, no matter how beautiful or amazing in its own right, would revolve around this. It’s proven to be a successful way to run a hotel collection, as the Four Seasons has expanded significantly since then. Its first decade only saw three locations open: now, there are 124 properties internationally.

The one stationed in Florence, Italy is no different. There is much to brag about: the room and suites are practical, the various beautiful accommodations that encourage soaking up the outside are effective and to the point, and the stellar location is in the very heart of Florence. The style, as it has always been imagined by its initial architect, is an elegant yet down-to-earth alternative for people who enjoy more ornate hotels like the Savoy.  However, the best part of the Four Seasons in Florence has to be the dining experience. This involves the quality of the restaurant experience itself, the type of food that’s offered, and the way in which it’s offered. The Four Seasons provides so many different ways to enjoy their food, creating an extremely customizable experience that is hard to resist.

Dining Outdoors Promises Breathtaking Views

First and foremost, the Four Seasons of Florence advertises its many ways to eat. One of these many ways  is the outdoor dining option. This option encompasses dining on the hotel’s beautiful terraces overlooking the magnificent Florence skyline. The Ponte Vecchio is an open-air terrace that can be enjoyed alongside an exquisite meal prepared by a hotel chef. Interestingly, gold is one of the ingredients of these prepared meals. A popular thing to pair this experience with is tasting some of the finest wines available in the Four Seasons wine cellar. The concierge is also able to schedule a trip to a vineyard for wine tasting, taking place in the iconic Chianti region.

The outdoor dining area includes their incredible garden. The garden is spacious and wonderful, even offering an outdoor pool close by. A tremendous open-air bar is located at the pool, encouraging all-day relaxation and snacking with their signature pizza and ice creams. People choosing to eat this way can lounge in a sea of greenery while sipping on classy Super Tuscan and Chianti Classico wines. Upon request, the chefs will pack guests a wonderful meal for a potential picnic. It’s an incredibly considerate suggestion from the hotel and contributes to a more personable atmosphere for people who want something more modest.

Dining Indoors Promises Maximum Comfort

While this is amazing, they also have a plethora of equally amazing indoor dining places as well. For instance, there is an indoor bar called the Atrium Bar. If the Outdoor Pool Tree Bar emphasizes comfort and relaxation, the Atrium Bar doubles down on this promise. The Four Seasons Atrium Bar is filled with cozy chairs and sofas to sink into with their specialty wines. Besides their wines, they have a wide variety of other treats and drinks available, such as espresso and lemon tartlet.

Another indoor restaurant to check out while at the Four Seasons is the Il Palagio. The Il Palagio is a Michelin-starred restaurant directly involved in the Florence location of the Four Seasons. The critically acclaimed restaurant has a diverse menu. They serve appetizers such as Butternut squash and grilled lobster, first courses like Linguine Morelli and lightly smoked risotto, and main courses such as Capraia sea bream and Casentino lamb. Il Palagio also carries stunning desserts that include soft citrus sage pie, yogurt and blueberry lemon balm spheres, crunchy buckwheat cocoa nibs waffle with spice-scented grapes, and chestnut honey cremeux pear and goat milk ice cream. The expressed goal of this restaurant is to evoke the surrounding environment through the food they serve, pulling inspiration from the nearby sea, the beautifully chiseled land around it, and local plant life. It attempts to be extremely in-tune with nature, opting for a strong sense of interconnection with everything around it.

Four Seasons Florence – Truffle Hunting Adds a Unique Flavor to Dining

There’s an even easier way to enjoy the Four Seasons food. Guests don’t even have to leave their rooms to indulge in the Four Seasons indoor dining experience. Visitors can request the hotel’s breakfast-in-bed deal. With breakfast in bed, there is a surprising amount of delicious choices. Guests can pick from pecorino cheese, Schiacciata Tuscan bread, Cinta Senese cold cuts, and homemade pasta. These choices are both atypical and high quality.

Some options offered by the Four Seasons are more unique and specifically tailored to Florence and the Florence lived experience. Between October and December, white truffles grow abundantly in the town of San Miniato. Guests are able to do one of two things to acquire these white truffles, both allowing the person to have an authentically Italian way of life. The first way is to attend the open-air truffle market located in the town. The second way to have an Italian experience is to go directly into the woods to find them growing near trees and shrubbery. Hunting for food in the woods definitely creates a feeling of being in the countryside with little communication outside of the Italian town one would live in.

An excerpt from the love letter: The Hollywood Insider’s CEO/editor-in-chief Pritan Ambroase affirms, We have the space and time for all your stories, no matter who/what/where you are. Media/Cinema/TV have a responsibility to better the world and The Hollywood Insider will continue to do so. Talent, diversity and authenticity matter in Cinema/TV, media and storytelling. In fact, I reckon that we should announce “talent-diversity-authenticity-storytelling-Cinema-Oscars-Academy-Awards” as synonyms of each other. We show respect to talent and stories regardless of their skin color, race, gender, sexuality, religion, nationality, etc., thus allowing authenticity into this system just by something as simple as accepting and showing respect to the human species’ factual diversity. We become greater just by respecting and appreciating talent in all its shapes, sizes, and forms. Award winners, which includes nominees, must be chosen on the greatness of their talent ALONE.

I am sure I am speaking for a multitude of Cinema lovers all over the world when I speak of the following sentiments that this medium of art has blessed me with. Cinema taught me about our world, at times in English and at times through the beautiful one-inch bar of subtitles. I learned from the stories in the global movies that we are all alike across all borders. Remember that one of the best symbols of many great civilizations and their prosperity has been the art they have left behind. This art can be in the form of paintings, sculptures, architecture, writings, inventions, etc. For our modern society, Cinema happens to be one of them. Cinema is more than just a form of entertainment, it is an integral part of society. I love the world uniting, be it for Cinema, TV, media, art, fashion, sport, etc. Please keep this going full speed.
