‘Burning Up’ the Stage for Old and New ARMY
BTS fired up the stage with an array of powerful energetic hits throughout their lifetime. Kicking off the stage with their Steve Aoki collaboration ‘MIC Drop’, the members get right to business and present their grade-A stage presence and choreography. ‘MIC Drop’ was a great intro to the concert and film, as J-Hope receives nods for being the best dancer in modern K-pop and ‘MIC Drop’ initiates with J-Hope as the center dancer and rapper. The braggadocious hit that boasts their many accolades and achievements set the tone for the rest of the show. This is BTS, everyone knows their name and nobody can deny their trophies, and watchers will know exactly how they earned their careers just from watching the concert. Following ‘MIC Drop’ is their recent single ‘Run BTS’ which went viral for its catchy chorus and impressive choreography that became a challenge to learn on TikTok.
Serving as a reminder of who they are in America is when they performed their Hot 100 #1 debut singles ‘Dynamite’ and ‘Butter’. These two fully English singles solidified BTS as a household name in the United States, flooding radios and playlists all over the country and the world. The performances for these singles were a crowd pleaser as they displayed charisma that attracted many new fans and captured the attention of the world as international acts. Aside from the newer singles of their careers, their Busan concert catered to older members of ARMY. With their fiery tracks ‘Dope’ and ‘Burning Up (Fire)’, BTS showed how they can heat up the stage with their energy and choreography. If viewers are able to catch the concert film in 4DX, they’ll be able to feel the wind and heat through the theater’s immersive experience that is synchronized with the BTS concert’s setlist and cinematics. One of the most notable exciting parts of the concert was when the rap unit took the stage to perform ‘UGH!’, one of their few songs where the members confront the malicious aggression they receive and combats it with their own rage and rebuttal.

The Emotional Side of the Concert & Farewell to Jin
Preceding the rap unit’s performance, the vocal line of BTS performed ‘00:00 (Zero O’ Clock)’ and ‘Butterfly’, two songs in their discography that display their vulnerability and emotion. Although an about-perfect vocal performance was granted from all four members, Jung Kook shows exactly why he was chosen to lead one of the World Cup 2022 songs and made the Rolling Stone 200 Greatest Singers of All Time list.
Nearing the end of their concert, in K-pop concert tradition, the members say their individual thanks to the crowd and their farewells. As it came time for Jin to say his farewells to the crowd, the crowd chants his name and creates a real tear-jerking moment for BTS and ARMY. With this being Jin’s final concert before his military enlistment, it was not only a farewell to the crowd, but a farewell to being on the stage with BTS until his time in the military is up. Following the farewells, BTS performs ‘Spring Day’, which is a song described to tell a story about love, loss, and reflecting on the past, and ‘Yet to Come’, the track titled identically to the concert with lyrics that tell fans that, even with all that BTS has done and achieved, the best of them has yet to come.
The film and concert were a great blend of fire and water. In showcasing their explosive performing side and their down-to-earth emotional sides, ‘Yet to Come in Cinemas’ proves that BTS can do it all and marks them as great performers and artists who are here to stay and will not be forgotten. Those who have yet to attend a BTS concert, they can expect to attend this screening with the attitude of a concert. The crowd experience is unlike traditional film experiences since fans of the group were comfortable bringing their ARMY light sticks, standing up and dancing during their favorite songs, and singing (and crying) out loud with the rest of the theater.

What is BTS Up to Now?
Following Jin’s military enlistment, the members are all in pursuit of their solo endeavors. RM released his solo album ‘Indigo’ which featured the likes of Erykah Badu, Anderson .Paak, Tablo, Kim Sawol, Paul Blanco, Mahalia, Colde, youjeen, and parkjiyoon. Jimin had just released his single with TAEYANG titled ‘VIBE’. The other members have yet to announce any of their solo projects, but Jung Kook recently broke his silence and came onto Instagram Live with V and broke records (of course) and became the fifth most viewed live on Instagram with over 910,000 real-time views.
As for Jin, he is doing an astounding amount of overachieving in his short time in the army. Jin has been chosen as commander of his unit, meaning that he showcased great strength, a loud voice, and strong social skills to lead a unit of 200 people. Additionally, Jin trained a small group for the military talent show and got first place! In earning first place in the talent show, Jin and his group were able to each earn an extra vacation day, which is well-deserved after his five weeks of basic training.

An excerpt from the love letter: The Hollywood Insider’s CEO/editor-in-chief Pritan Ambroase affirms, “We have the space and time for all your stories, no matter who/what/where you are. Media/Cinema/TV have a responsibility to better the world and The Hollywood Insider will continue to do so. Talent, diversity and authenticity matter in Cinema/TV, media and storytelling. In fact, I reckon that we should announce “talent-diversity-authenticity-storytelling-Cinema-Oscars-Academy-Awards” as synonyms of each other. We show respect to talent and stories regardless of their skin color, race, gender, sexuality, religion, nationality, etc., thus allowing authenticity into this system just by something as simple as accepting and showing respect to the human species’ factual diversity. We become greater just by respecting and appreciating talent in all its shapes, sizes, and forms. Award winners, which includes nominees, must be chosen on the greatness of their talent ALONE.
I am sure I am speaking for a multitude of Cinema lovers all over the world when I speak of the following sentiments that this medium of art has blessed me with. Cinema taught me about our world, at times in English and at times through the beautiful one-inch bar of subtitles. I learned from the stories in the global movies that we are all alike across all borders. Remember that one of the best symbols of many great civilizations and their prosperity has been the art they have left behind. This art can be in the form of paintings, sculptures, architecture, writings, inventions, etc. For our modern society, Cinema happens to be one of them. Cinema is more than just a form of entertainment, it is an integral part of society. I love the world uniting, be it for Cinema, TV, media, art, fashion, sport, etc. Please keep this going full speed.”
