We know she’s one of the absolute best there is, but there are fun little tidbits I’m sure you don’t know. So take a look with me as we explore some of the fun and unique aspects of T-Swift:
#1 She was born on December 13, 1989, in Reading, Pennsylvania. The exact time she was born is 5.17 a.m.
#2 Taylor was born with the name “Taylor Alison Swift”. She was named after James Taylor. Knowing that suddenly her career in music seems almost prophetic right there 😉
#3 Her mother’s name is Andrea Finlay & her father is Scott Kingsley Swift.
#4 Taylor spent her early years growing up on her family’s Christmas tree farm in Montgomery County; you can see immediately why Swift was so influenced by country music between her name and childhood.
#5 At the age of 11, she won a local talent competition by singing a rendition of LeAnn Rimes’s “Big Deal”.
#6 She is terrified of snakes and spiders.
#7 Her favorite food is cheesecake.
#8 She attended school at West Reading Elementary Center and Wyomissing Area Junior/Senior High School.
#9 Her first hobby was English horse riding and she competed in horse shows.
#10 Taylor Swift is the first country singer to win an MTV Video Music Award. Her video “You Belong with Me” won the Best Female Video award in 2009. Big win for the genre right here for sure.

#15 The six things that are always in her refrigerator are eggs, thinly sliced ham and chicken, orange juice, diet coke, Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese, and binge food. Gotta love the binge food at the end there. “There’s always some sort of binge food – like a tube of cinnamon rolls or a giant tub of cookie dough. Because I’m that girl.”

#18 Taylor is the youngest artist in history to win a Grammy Award for Album of the year in 2010. She was only 20 years old at that time. So basically Billie Eilish for the country genre in 2010. Pretty impressive not gonna lie.

#29 Taylor admits that she is an extremely clumsy person and jokes that her parents always make fun of her because she spills everything. Hey, we all got our weak spot, right?
#30 She wrote 9 of the 16 songs in her fourth studio album “Red”. The other 7 songs in the album she co-wrote it with Max Martin, Ed Sheeran, Gary Lightbody, Dan Wilson, and Liz Rose.
