Photo: Ukraine’s Elected President Zelenskyy and Russia’s Constantly Unelected “President” Putin
Not Russia but primarily Vladimir Putin, who is the President of the Russian Federation, has chosen to wage a bloody war on Ukraine, its neighboring country. There is power in the two words that start this article – NOT RUSSIA!
Important Points to Note, Highlight and Remember
It is Putin who has inhumanely raged war, destruction, and chaos in Ukraine. And NOT RUSSIA. For the purposes of this article, we will simply write accurately and precisely as Putin, and not Russia, for all actions taken under the catfish identity of Russia, for the past few decades.

The Hollywood Insider’s CEO Pritan Ambroase states, “I, Pritan Ambroase, and the media network The Hollywood Insider, along with The Humans of Our World Foundation stand with Ukraine, the Ukrainians, the residents in Ukraine, and the Russians who stand with Ukraine. We fully oppose Putin and his inhumanity. Media has a responsibility to maintain peace, promote peace and allow peace – most importantly unite our world and the people regardless of borders – whether it be mental, physical or political. People all over the world must stand with Ukraine, including the people inside Russia. For the sake of Ukraine, for the sake of humanity, and also for the sake of the world.
By standing with Ukraine, you are also standing for the peace of the WHOLE world as this is not just about Ukraine, if Putin is not stopped, he will not be satisfied with just Ukraine. We highly commend President Zelenzskyy for defending his country and world peace. We cannot afford a world war. Our human species have got to evolve beyond such primal barbaric tendencies. If we are naturally territorial, then we are ALSO naturally compassionate. Let us allow compassion to win. Let us make humanity viral. Let us champion kindness. The best time for the world to act to stop Putin was yesterday. The second best time is today. Now.
We, humans, have evolved and grown thousands of levels ahead of the Year 2 AD in terms of technology, but in terms of mentally/emotionally we seem to have stunted growth and possibly evolved only 2 steps ahead of the Year 2 AD. This major difference in the two rates of growth is dangerous, as we are now 2 year old kids playing with highly developed and harmful technology. Putin must be stopped and so must the thought pattern that possesses maniacs like Putin.
Peace must be re-instated in Ukraine and in turn, the whole world. Stop Putin’s war.
We all live in this one ship called Earth which is floating in space, our home, setting fire to the “other” side, bombing the “other” side, or any side, sinks us all.
Media has a responsibility to better the world and The Hollywood Insider will continue to do so.”
Ukraine + Most of the World + Most Russians Vs. Putin and his Hurt Ego
This is clearly not just Ukraine Vs Putin. This is Ukraine with most of the world and most Russians against their common enemy – the chaotic maniac Putin.
We highly admire the Russians inside Russia that are protesting against Putin and his cruel war on Ukraine. Anti-war protests have broken out in over 50 cities across Russia, with thousands of Russian people detained by their unelected President Putin – thank you for not remaining silent at times of cruelty and showing that you are against it.
Let us visit 2010 and 2014 and Putin’s previous attacks on Ukraine’s sovereignty
The point of this war simply amounts to the greed and personal decision by one dictator, Putin, who is infuriated that he no longer has control over Ukraine. He attempted to install a regime puppet, Viktor Yanukovych, whom he helped appoint in 2010 as the President and ruling authority. Yanukovych was ousted in 2014 by mass protests all across Ukraine and he escaped to Russia for safety. After he fled, a warrant for his arrest was officialized in Ukraine and he was charged with the “mass murder of the Maidan protesters.” Immediately Putin declared that Ukraine’s change of government was the result of an illegal coup and that it did not stand upon justifiable or acceptable grounds for its own freedom and democracy. Putin in response to Ukraine’s actions in 2014 placed armed soldiers all throughout Crimea and a month later it held a “public referendum,” where it voted with a 97% favor to secede from Ukraine and join the country of Russia. These results are highly disputed and this forced secession by Russia upon Crimea marks “the only time that a European nation has used military force to seize the territory of another since World War II.”

Crimea Part 2 in 2022
Now history, in the year of 2022, is finally repeating itself. Russia (Putin), was allowed to freely dictate the democratic freedom of another nation without real repercussions by any other countries. Crimea is the perfect example of what Putin is now attempting to do with Ukraine. Though, now it seems as if the worldly powers, NATO and the EU (European Union) are finally standing up to this small tyrant, who wants nothing more than power and authority over those he has no right to control.
War Sweeps Through Ukraine As Putin Mounts His Attack
On February 21, 2022, Russia’s constantly unelected President (wannabe Tsar, Emperor, King) Vladimir Putin announced war and the invasion of Ukraine. Among the many reasons that he had for this false and propagandized war, he cited genocide occurring in the Donbas region of Ukraine. This baseless declaration by Putin is utterly and completely false as his statements are simply a guise to hide his war under the fallacious pretense of what he alleges to be a “peacekeeping mission.” Since Putin’s incursion on Ukraine, there has been a reported estimation of 650 Ukrainian casualties, 200 of which have been labeled as civilian deaths. Including this death toll, around 4000 Russian soldiers, at least, have been killed so far.
As the United States, NATO, and the European Union have all increased their sanctions, financial limitations, import, and export restrictions upon Russia, Putin has ordered that Russia’s nuclear deterrence forces be placed on high alert. These nuclear deterrents serve as a threat to any nation or country that would dare to interfere with his war on Ukraine. The worldwide ban placed upon Russia has had devastating effects on Russian currency. The Ruble has plunged nearly 30% as the market opened, compared to the US dollar. Many nations have offered their financial support to Ukraine, but the UK, Germany, and Sweden have even gone so far as to begin arming the military of Ukraine. Thus, UK, Germany, and Sweden have emerged as the true defenders of democracy and peace.

The SWIFT issue
“The White House and several EU nations announced the expulsion of certain Russian banks from the SWIFT banking system Saturday evening.” SWIFT, which stands for Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication, is a private global financial system that connects more than 11,000 banks and 200 countries together. “The network is now jointly-owned by more than 2,000 banks and financial institutions.” Russian transactions are thought to make up more than 1% of the total payments that are run through SWIFT. The banning of Russia and its tie to SWIFT, as well as the discussed threat of cutting off Russia’s central bank is incredibly significant. The dissolution of Russia and possibly its central bank from SWIFT, as a repercussion, if Putin were to ramp up its war, would lead to massive amounts of “collateral damage for companies and financial institutions owed money,” by Russian subsidiaries and their counterparts. This would have further devastating effects on the Russian economy and could lead to severe economic depression.
What Is Putin’s Overarching Goal From This Unnecessary War?
Russia’s unelected President Vladimir Putin’s overarching goal is in no doubt for global expansion and conquest. By successfully annexing Ukraine he appears dead set on restoring Russia to its former Soviet Era size. By blatantly lying to his people, and considering his past of forcibly annexing Crimea with the entirety of the world watching, he has proven that he is more than capable of using violence, fear, and intimidation to assert his dominance in any way that he sees fit. One question that appears unanswered is whether he has asked himself if conquering and installing a new puppet regime in Ukraine will even be successful after he has taken it by force?

“Nearly 80% of the population identifies as Ukrainian and a similar proportion continues to support Ukrainian independence.” With an overwhelming majority of Ukrainian people believing that they deserve democratic rights and rule, along with their growing hatred and distrust of Putin and Russia’s influence being shoved down their throats, how can Putin believe that his regime will be anything short of a failure? The last time he tried to insert his puppet leader, Yanukovych, in 2010, in four years the people of Ukraine had had enough. Now they have had a taste for freedom, or a semblance of freedom for eight years. They elected their own chosen leader and it would appear as if President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is a man who refuses to give up on his people.
It has been widely reported that he turned down the US’s offer to extricate him from the currently war-torn country. He has stayed to give aid and bolster communal support in his nation’s time of need. Putin seeks to control Ukraine indirectly because it serves as a border state to his empire. Even though he is desperate to regain control over this country, especially due to his decision to back small sects of separatist groups in the Ukraine, his claim to the nation and its people is illegitimate. He has no right to what he says is Russia’s, because it is not Russia that wants Ukraine, it is solely Vladimir Putin. Though time will tell who’s will is stronger, a lone tyrant or a cohesive-unified nation, fighting for its liberty and freedom.

What Does This War Symbolize for The Future?
The importance of the outcome of the war Vladimir Putin has waged cannot be lost on anyone. This war could dictate not just the lives of the people of Ukraine, but the rest of the world as well. This is the exact reason why the United States has not yet become involved in this power grab by Putin. The fact that Putin has nuclear weapons and he is an unhinged dictator, as of now is deterrent enough to keep America from stepping in to protect and offer physical support for Ukraine. Not even counting the lives that would be lost in pure terms of warfare in combat between American and Russian troops, the use of nuclear weapons by Russia would then ensure the use of nuclear force by the US. Nuclear weapons today are hundreds if not thousands of times more powerful than they were when they were first created. The threat of the use of nukes by Putin is enough to keep America from engaging in a war that may be unjust, but still does not yet justify the current end of existence for all of human life as we know it.
Ukrainian Ambassador to the United Nations Sergiy Kyslytsya Addresses the UN Security Council
Kyslytsya gave an impassioned speech at the UN, stating, “The first time since the United Nations was born, there is a full-fledged war in the center of Europe. If Ukraine does not survive… international peace will not survive. If Ukraine does not survive, the United Nations will not survive. Have no illusions. If Ukraine does not survive, we cannot be surprised if democracy fails next.”

Not only is this war significant for its role and the threat of nuclear deterrence, it offers a glimpse of what could come in the future depending on the outcome of how Russia is treated globally. The fear of an attack by China upon our ally Taiwan is becoming an ever-growing concern. “China accused the US of a “provocative” action after a US warship sailed through the sensitive Taiwan Strait” on Saturday. The alarming fact that China views a US ship that is serving as a defensive measure, a provocation, hints towards their future ambitions. China appears to be slowly waiting to see what America’s next move will be with respect to Putin and Ukraine conflict. If America were to be dragged into a war in Europe, this would leave Taiwan open for China to do the same thing that Putin is doing currently to Ukraine. Putin recognizes this as well and that is part of the reason he feels comfortable starting this war to annex Ukraine.
He knows that China is a larger threat to global domination than Russia. Russia only has “one-tenth the GDP of China,” and while it is alarming to see the menacing actions that Russia and Putin are perpetrating, the US must be ready for any attack that China would provoke with Taiwan. The sad fact that the history of war is not behind us is now an ever-present reminder.
The war in Ukraine will have far-reaching effects which cannot yet be known. All that is certain is that the world is watching and taking action.
As Desmond Tutu once said, “If you are neutral in situations of injustice, you have chosen the side of the oppressor.”

Media/Cinema/TV have a responsibility to better the world and The Hollywood Insider will continue to do so. Talent, diversity and authenticity matter in Cinema/TV, media and storytelling. In fact, I reckon that we should announce “talent-diversity-authenticity-storytelling-Cinema-Oscars-Academy-Awards” as synonyms of each other. We show respect to talent and stories regardless of their skin color, race, gender, sexuality, religion, nationality, etc., thus allowing authenticity into this system just by something as simple as accepting and showing respect to the human species’ factual diversity. We become greater just by respecting and appreciating talent in all its shapes, sizes, and forms. Award winners, which includes nominees, must be chosen on the greatness of their talent ALONE.
I am sure I am speaking for a multitude of Cinema lovers all over the world when I speak of the following sentiments that this medium of art has blessed me with. Cinema taught me about our world, at times in English and at times through the beautiful one-inch bar of subtitles. I learned from the stories in the global movies that we are all alike across all borders. Remember that one of the best symbols of many great civilizations and their prosperity has been the art they have left behind. This art can be in the form of paintings, sculptures, architecture, writings, inventions, etc. For our modern society, Cinema happens to be one of them. Cinema is more than just a form of entertainment, it is an integral part of society. I love the world uniting, be it for Cinema, TV. media, art, fashion, sport, etc. Please keep this going full speed.”
